The Georgetown we love didn't happen by accident.

It was shaped over generations by people who invested their time, talents, and care into this community.

Now it's our turn.

I believe our responsibility is not simply to manage growth, but to shape it in a way that strengthens the community we're proud to call home.

Protecting what we love about Georgetown means navigating increasingly complex decisions.

Growth, housing, infrastructure, affordability, financial sustainability, public health, social services, and the health of our natural systems don't exist in isolation. Decisions in one area often influence many others, shaping the community we experience every day.

Good leadership isn't about choosing one priority over another. It's about understanding how those priorities fit together, weighing the trade-offs, and making thoughtful decisions that strengthen our community today while planning responsibly for tomorrow.

If elected, I'll work to:

  • Represent Wards 3 and 4, effectively at both Halton Regional Council and Town of Halton Hills Council.

  • Protect what makes Georgetown special while planning responsibly for growth.

  • Support thoughtful, evidence-informed decisions and responsible stewardship of public resources.

  • Build strong relationships across Halton Region to achieve better outcomes for Georgetown.

  • Help residents better understand local government and create meaningful opportunities to participate.

Many people are surprised to learn that Halton Hills has just 3 of the 24 seats on Halton Regional Council.

That means representing Georgetown isn't just about casting votes. It's about building strong working relationships across Halton Region to achieve the best outcomes for our community.

Regional collaboration isn't new to me. Before serving on council, I represented Halton Hills on the Regional Youth Advisory Committee and helped establish and facilitate a youth mental health promotion program with Halton Region Public Health. Today, I serve on the Conservation Halton Board and am an active member of HER Halton, where I work alongside elected officials and community leaders from across Halton..

Those experiences have helped me build the relationships and understanding needed to represent Georgetown effectively at the Regional table.

How I got here

I moved to Georgetown with my family in 1986, and this community has been my home ever since.

2022 - Dominion Gardens Park, Light Up the Hills Ignition night

I've grown up here, built a business, raised my family, and watched our community evolve over four decades.

My journey into public service began in the late 1990s through youth leadership and mental health promotion, where I learned the importance of listening, creating opportunities for others, and bringing people together around a common purpose.

1998 - Independent and Free Press

After opening my business in downtown Georgetown, my focus expanded to supporting our local BIA business community and the Georgetown Farmers' Market.

Over time, that work grew to include neighbourhood revitalization through Hungry Hollow SNAP, environmental stewardship through initiatives like Halton Hills Nature and Bird Friendly Halton Hills, and ultimately serving as Ward 3 Town Councillor and on the Conservation Halton Board.

The greatest privilege of this journey has been meeting the people along the way. Every chapter introduced me to another part of our community and another circle of people who care deeply about Georgetown.

Communities are strongest when people feel connected to one another, take responsibility for the places they love, and work together to shape what's next.
